A trip back to July and the wedding of Laura and Alastair in Woldingham in Surrey. My day started with the ceremony which was being held at St. Paul’s church with St. Agatha in Woldingham village and a pretty nervous looking groom.
Following the ceremony the newlyweds and their guests were treated to ice creams in the church grounds before making their way to Alistair’s parent’s house which was a ten minute walk away. No cars were needed between venues although there may have been some confusion (and possibly panic) on the face of the driver of the wedding car that passed everyone on their way back from the church!
Once back at the house, drinks and canapés were served up and thankfully the whether was perfect as the guests relaxed and played croquet in the garden, which is an amazing display of landscaping over three or four levels and unlike any garden I’ve ever seen before. Suitably refreshed, the guests then made another short walk to the Woldingham Village Club where the meal and evening reception was taking place. Some lovely barbecued food was followed by the speeches which were then followed by an unfortunate trouser incident, a bouquet throwing, cake cutting and first dance. Then the band did their thing as the guests cut some serious shapes on the dance floor.
Here’s some images from throughout the day. Feel free to share/comment/pin etc or get in touch if you’d like to check on my availability for your wedding.
