Warren Lodge Hotal Weddings – Alison and Lea

The last weddings of the summer season and the final double header of the year for me this weekend. The first saw me back in familiar surroundings as the wedding photographer for Alison and Lea’s Surrey wedding yesterday. The ceremony was being held in St. Mary’s church in Thorpe, the third occasion I’ve been the photographer for a wedding there, the most recent time being only two months ago for Helene and John. The first person on the scene was one of the usher’s, who it turned out was a guest at last weekend’s wedding of Jennie and Andy. It’s a small world…..

The weather was good to us and there wasn’t a hint of rain throughout. Unfortunately we’re now into school term time and so the TASIS grounds next door to the church weren’t available to us, so we quickly took care of the formals in front of the church before departing to the venue, via the banks of the Thames where the patrons of Thames Court pub in Shepperton were treated to some lunchtime entertainment in the form of the bride and groom portraits.

After taking advantage of the nice backdrop the water provided, it was the short trip to the Warren Lodge Hotel in Shepperton for the reception. Welcome drinks by the river on a warm autumnal day, what more could anyone ask for on a Friday when they’d otherwise be working?

The meal was dealt with in efficient fashion by the staff and guests, then it was time for the speeches and first dance. Drinks continued to flow and I’m sure there will be plenty of sore heads this morning! Pictures from the day below, feel free to leave a comment if the urge takes you. The pictures are also on my Facebook page should anyone wish to tag themselves etc.

Today I’m off to Hampshire and the stunning Elvetham Hotel. The blog will of course follow shortly….

Just to say thanks to David for some fantastic wedding photos. We love every single picture on the blog and I can’t wait to see the rest of them. Me and Lea had such a wonderful day and we are thrilled to have it captured so well. Thank you!
