Yesterday I was the photographer for the Surrey wedding of Nina and Andrew in Surbiton before heading off to Richmond where they were having the reception. The ceremony was held at St. Raphaels church, my first time shooting at this particular venue, which is just opposite the banks of the Thames. Then it was off to the Richmond Hill Hotel for the reception.
I was definitely blessed yesterday to have such a truly stunning bride and such a stunning dress to work with, Nina really did look amazing and when you see the images below, you’ll find it impossible to disagree. In fact, both the bride and groom were a wedding photographers dream, absolutely fantastic throughout and were complete naturals in front of the camera, despite seeming a bit camera shy at first. We took a stroll from Richmond Hill Hotel in Surrey (or is it London?) along to Richmond Hill and they were both in their newlywed element, accepting numerous well deserved offers of congratulations from passers by as we went.
Thankfully the day remained dry and despite clouds looming over the church earlier in the day, the late afternoon sunshine broke through over the lovely backdrop just as we got to Richmond Hill and the setting was pretty much perfect. Then it was a stroll back to the hotel, some formal pictures and some candids, then my job was done when everyone went in to eat.
It really was a great afternoon, Nina never stopped smiling from the moment she walked down the aisle and that pretty much summed up the atmosphere of the whole event.
Here’s a few from the day, there’s more on my Facebook page.
