The final wedding of the year on a cold but beautifully sunny winter’s day. I was down in South London for this one and started off with the bridal preparations at Joanna’s parent’s house where once again the excellent Amy Lacey of Bedazzling was working her magic, and then it was on to the main event in Mitcham at the St Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Following a brief delay where for once it was the bride who was kept waiting as the groom’s dad had to go and collect some relatives who had just flown in, the wedding ceremony was soon under way and once the finer details had been taken care of it was on to the wedding reception which was being held at the nearby (and very busy!) Selsdon Park Hotel. The sun was shining but it was still pretty cold so most of the action happened inside where everything was being held together nicely by the toastmaster Robert Gee. The meal was followed by some pretty decent speeches and then after the cutting of the cake (excellently made by the father of the bride I should add), it was time for the first dance of the evening for the last time this year.
So that was it for me and the year that was 2012, and time to down tools for a couple of months and relax before it starts all over again next year. I won’t talk too much about the past twelve months as I’ll be back in a week or so with my round up for 2012, but in the meantime here’s some images from this final wedding. I’d love it if you joined me over on my Facebook page but in the meantime please feel free, as always, to comment below, click the like button, share on Twitter etc.
I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas.“We both just wanted to say a huge ‘thank you’ for doing such a wonderful job with the photos! We’re really pleased with them and that’s all thanks to you so thank you very much!”
