As autumn starts to kick in I’m finally able to take a bit of a breather and look back on warmer times and start blogging some great weddings. Earlier this summer I was with Emily and James for their RAC Club wedding, both were very keen for an informal approach to their wedding photography which is why they came to me and I was more than happy to cover their day for them.
Proceedings started in the morning with Emily and her bridesmaids where the finishing touches were being put to the preparations and before long it was time to make the journey to South London and St Luke’s Church in Norwood where James was displaying a few signs of nerves, although it was nothing compared to the nerves shown by Emily as she arrived and prepared to walk down the aisle! It’s times like this where I realise exactly what a monumental event that walk is in a woman’s life, but I’m glad to say that she it down the aisle ok and was soon able to relax as the ceremony went by smoothly.
After the ceremony everyone headed back to the reception which was being held at the RAC Club in Epsom, where a lovely blue sky overlooked everyone as they had drinks in the gardens with the gold course providing a great backdrop. The rest of the day followed a familiar pattern with speeches after dinner being followed with the cake cutting. The evening was then kicked off with a first dance/bride and father dance combo and the band then kicked in to get the party underway.
Another great day under my belt and below are a selection images. Please feel free to share or comment, and if you’re getting married at the RAC Club and want to check my availability you can get in touch via the contact form.
