My 2014 wedding season got off to a fine start last weekend at this Oatlands Park Hotel wedding in Weybridge where I was lucky enough to be the photographer for Jacki and Oliver. The clocks were due to go forward that night to mark the start of British Summer Time and although maybe not summer temperatures, we were treated to some lovely spring weather with sunshine throughout the day.
My first port of call was with Jacki for the bridal preparations at her parent’s house, a very relaxed affair with absolutely no concerns about being late for the church seeing as the house was pretty much opposite. The church in question was St Mary’s in Oatlands and once the dress was safely on, that’s where I headed for the main event of the day where Oliver was already waiting. After what possibly constitutes the shortest journey to church ever, Jacki sooned joined him down the aisle and the wedding ceremony was soon concluded before everyone headed off to the reception round the corner at Oatlands Park.
Music was very much on the menu throughout the day, both father and brother of the bride entertained the guests while the registers were being signed and the guitars were broken out again back at Oatlands Park, where events were being overseen by the excellent toastmaster Jay Tough. The sun stayed out throughout the reception drinks and following a receiving line and the speeches, the guests were treated to a pub quiz before the evening festivities kicked off. Once the first dance was concluded and the music was in full swing, my first wedding of the year was at an end.
So enough of the chat, the all important pictures from the day are below. Please feel free to like/share or leave a comment below.
