Summer has finally arrived! Although we did have the odd rain shower, none of it impacted on this lovely wedding which took place at Horsley Towers weddings venue on the outskirts of the Surrey Hills. This was my second time at this De Vere venue (I’m also back there next month) and it was a seriously enjoyable day. The bridal preps were taking place at the venue and there were a good few nerves floating about, and then it was off to the ceremony which was at St Peter’s and Christchurch in Walton-on-the-Hill (not Walton-on-Thames which is where I believe some people ended up…) to wait for the double decker bus bringing guests from the venue and grab a few shots of Mark.
The ceremony went without a hitch and it was then back to a sunny Horsley Towers for the reception. After some relaxation time in the gardens, it was then time for the meal. Some very good speeches, good food and plenty of laughter were had during this part of the day and then before we knew it, it was time for the first dance. After this, we were treated to something that I hadn’t covered before as a wedding photographer and haven’t actually witnessed since my own wedding eight years ago, and that was the bride dancing with her father straight after the first dance. A great moment, plenty of emotion involved and a superb way to end a great day.
Please have a look through the images from the wedding below, and as always feel free to like/share on your social media of choice or leave a comment to let me know what you think. A couple of the images have already been shared over on my Facebook page and it would be great to have a few of you follow me on there. This weekend I’m at Gildings Barn, images from that one will follow in due course.
If you’re getting married at Horsley Towers, or anywhere else for that matter and would like to enquire about my availability, please use the enquiry form over on the contact page.
