The outskirts of Croydon provided the setting for the Farleigh Golf Club wedding of Jane and John on what was a beautiful spring day. The day for me started at the venue just before the wedding ceremony where Jane arrived in a stunning classic Rolls Royce.
A few tears were shed during the ceremony, after which the guests basked in the glorious summer sunshine during the afternoon welcome drinks while the kids took advantage of the vast play area that the golf course provided them with, well away from the golf balls that were flying about around the actual golf course. While the drinks were flowing, the excellent magician Matt Wainwright provided the entertainment as he bamboozled the guests with his superb magic skills. Matt also worked at the Bury Court Barn wedding of Hayley and Stephen last year and I wholeheartedly recommend him if you’re looking for a magician for the afternoon.
With the sun still beating down, the guests were called in for the wedding breakfast, which preceded some very good speeches. Once the food and wine had been polished off the guests then wasted no time in enjoying the rest of the evening warmth and sunshine. Then it was time for the evening festivities to begin, which as usual were kicked off with the first dance. This signalled the end of what had been a very enjoyable day for me.
Here’s a collection of images from throughout the day.
