Here is some Buckinghamshire wedding photography for Lydia and Jordan. A perfect day weather wise for what was a lovely DIY wedding set in the bride’s family home of some 60+ years.
The day for me started off at the farmhouse where the bridal party were all getting ready in pretty relaxed surroundings. Personal touches were to be found all around the grounds and gave me ample opportunity to enjoy the sunshine while capturing the surroundings. The wedding ceremony took place at the nearby Chalfont St Giles Parish Church, where we were greeted by a bagpiper who then led Lydia into the church once she arrived as a nervous looking Jordan was waiting in the church.
Following the ceremony and the traditional confetti shot, it was back to the farmhouse for the celebrations to begin. Music was being provided outside by a jazz band that Lydia is usually a part of, while the kids were keeping themselves busy with piggy back rides and the rope swing in the vast garden. Soon it was time for the wedding breakfast which was being held in a huge marquee, before we were treated to some quite funny, yet emotional speeches. The evening was started off with the cutting of the cake before the band started to do their thing, but not before the groom, an avid Manchester United fan, gave the bride a surprise wedding present in the form of a signed shirt.
The marquee was rocking by the time I left and I’m sure a great evening was had by all, it was certainly an enjoyable day for me. Here’s some images from the wedding below.
