The second of back to back weddings, I was fairly local for the Brooklands Museum wedding photography of Alison and Tony on this warm summer Saturday. It was my first venture back to the venue after the Concorde wedding I covered a couple of years ago, although the ceremony here was a bit more conventional and took place in the Bluebird room and not on board Concorde itself. No bridal preparations required for me so for the second wedding on the spin my day started with the arrival of the groom and guests prior to the bride arriving and then it was onto the main event of the day with the ceremony.
Once the formalities were over with it was over to Concorde for some celebratory drinks for the guests while the newlyweds went for a spin around the old racetrack, or what’s left of it anyway before they joined their guests for some well deserved champagne. Then after a brief respite where the guests were given some time off to go and have a look around the museum, it was time for the meal and then the speeches. Following a few tears and lots of laughter, the traditional first dance then kicked off the evening proceedings before the cutting of the wedding cake, and then my day came to an end while the guests were just getting warmed up with the dancing.
A lovely relaxed and informal day with a really nice couple. It was an exhausting couple of days for me but I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Two more weddings for me this month so please check back for the usual blog updates or join me over at my Facebook page to keep updated.
Some images from the day are below, feel free to like/share/comment etc.
