A Friday in August and the first of two back to back weddings saw me travel down the M3 to Romsey in Hampshire as the photographer for Rachel and Simon. The wedding ceremony was taking place at the United Reform Church near Romsey Abbey. This was the same church in which I shot the wedding of April and (a different) Simon last summer, a nice big venue with plenty of light. No bridal preparations were required so after a quick pit stop at the local coffee shop it was straight down to business with the arrival of Simon and his groomsmen at the church. The stunning Rachel turned up on time and the ceremony went off without a hitch, with the new husband and wife emerging from the church some 45 minutes later.
Following the ceremony we made the short journey down the road to Kimbridge and in particular to Kimbridge Restaurant and Annie’s Tearooms where the reception was being held. Drinks outside in the sun were followed by the wedding breakfast where the guests were treated to a hog roast, then it was time for the speeches before the band started playing ready for the all important first dance.
A relatively short day for me and all in all it was a really enjoyable day with a great couple. Everything was nice and relaxed and we had some pretty nice British summertime weather thrown in as well. I’ll leave you with some of the photography from the day, please like or share on whatever social media you use and feel free leave a comment below to. As has become the norm, there’s already been a couple of images from this wedding posted on my Facebook page and a few more will no doubt follow in due course, so please head over and like the page if you’d like to keep up to date.
If you’re getting married in Romsey or wish to check my availability for any other venue, please get in touch via the contact page.“We’re so happy with the moments you’ve captured!”
