A double header of barn weddings. The day after I was at the Barn at Bury Court, I was over the border into Hampshire to capture some Rivervale Barn wedding photography for Mandy and Ben. I was hoping this wedding would top off a great weekend and it didn’t disappoint. A great couple and a lovely venue.
I started off with Mandy and her bridesmaids for the preps before making the 20 yard walk to the room where the ceremony was being held. Ben looked fairly relaxed on the whole, with one or two moments where it looked like nerves were creeping in, and it wasn’t long before Mandy was walking down the aisle, accompanied by Big Al who has to be one of the best characters I’ve met at any wedding I’ve done.
It wasn’t long before the new Mr and Mrs Cox were married and enjoying some well deserved champagne, and the guests were soon being wowed by some card tricks by the magician Mike Stoner. Then it was time for a quick stroll around the grounds before dinner and speeches, and then the evening came to a close with the first dance. Not your conventional first dance of course, or at least only half of one, before the music changed into something a bit more upbeat and the whole of the wedding party broke into a well rehearsed dance routine, at the surprise of the guests.
Time for one last bit of laughter courtesy again of Big Al (who had me laughing throughout the day when I probably should have been taking pictures…) and it was time to down tools after another excellent wedding with a very relaxed and pleasant couple, and a great weekend on the whole.
