There were a lot of familiar faces at the wedding of Katie and David at the Moat House in Wokingham, Berkshire. Back in 2011 I shot David’s brothers’s wedding at Monkey Island and last year I covered Mandy and Ben’s wedding at Rivervale Barn where David was an usher. Keeping up? Well here we were with guests from both previous weddings and it felt like some kind of big reunion.
Although the bridal preparations weren’t required for this one, I still caught the tail end of it as the dress was about to go on as I started, and then it was straight on to the ceremony itself. We were hoping for some sunshine and maybe even some warm weather what with it being officially springtime, but once again temperatures plummeted to below freezing and snow fell throughout the main part of the day, although Katie was still brave enough to face the elements for a few shots outside.
Then it was back into the warm for the rest of the day for everyone to enjoy some food, speeches and dancing. If I learned one thing from this day, it’s don’t throw a baby up in the air after dinner, as you WILL get your suit thrown up on…
