Loseley Park was the setting for my latest wedding photography jaunt and this time it was the turn of the ridiculously laid back Claire and Derek to tie the knot on what felt like the hottest day of the year so far.
The day started down in Hampshire at Claire’s parent’s house where the bride to be was getting ready with her bridesmaids and before long the champagne corks were being popped, champagne drunk and I was soon on my way again.
I then had a short journey to the stunning Farnborough Abbey where the ceremony was taking place (although it took me about five trips around the one way system before I actually found it, this despite having worked in Farnborough for a while in a previous life!), and having never been there before I was quite taken aback as to how grand it all is, a fantastic setting for a wedding ceremony. Time soon whizzed by and before we knew it, Claire and Derek emerged as man and wife and we were then off to a baking hot Loseley Park for the reception. The images below are just a taster as to the actual amount of effort that was put into the details of the day, I could easily have added a lot more and they’d both done an excellent job of putting their own personal touch on everything from the moment you walked into the Tithe Barn. A mention at this point should go to Kate at the Gorgeous Fower Company who did a fantastic job with the flowers for the day as well.
Following a stroll around the grounds for some photos and then dinner, it was time for the speeches and a ‘This Is Your Life’ special for the groom presented by the five, count them, five best men. And then it was soon onto the finale (for me anyway) of a very enjoyable day with the best dance before I left for home to the strains of the band thumping out some Twist and Shout.
So here’s a few from the day. As always, please feel free to leave a comment below and share on Facebook, hit the like button etc. And you’re more than welcome to keep an eye on what I’m doing over on my Facebook page or Google+ page as well.
